Flemington DIY stands in solidarity with those fighting for equality and justice. We commit to do the work needed to unlearn and combat anti-Blackness and white supremacy in our community and in ourselves.
We aim to amplify Black voices and strive to bring them to the forefront by providing a platform for Black artists and community members to safely express themselves while creating alliances with local action organizations.
In order to implement change, it is imperative to listen to Black voices. We commit to creating a safer space for those affected by racism.
As a community art space, it is our responsibility to use our platform to accelerate change, combat all forms of oppression, and challenge and dismantle systematic racism at every level.
Flemington DIY will continue to plan events around education and offer our space and resources to other groups aligned with this movement.
