Flemington DIY has been awarded a $14,000 Local Arts Grant (LAP) for 2025 from the Hunterdon County Cultural & Heritage Commission. The grant is a continuation of general operating support from the Commission.
“We are grateful to the Cultural & Heritage Commission for this Local Arts Program Grant, which will enable Flemington DIY to continue delivering music and art programs to the greater Flemington community and to serve as a critical part of the burgeoning local Arts and Cultural District,” says Jeff Cogen, board member, volunteer, and treasurer at Flemington DIY.
Funds will aid in covering Flemington DIY’s overhead for the year, allowing the organization to focus on deepening its growing array of programs and offerings to community members of all ages, backgrounds, and income levels.
“It’s been exciting for me to be a part of a new program at DIY. Whether it’s a 1-day event or a recurring program, DIY’s ability to support local artists of all kinds is truly vital to getting new ideas off the ground,” says new board member and volunteer Megan Henninger. “Comedy was new in 2023, and is becoming a staple for a growing group. I can’t wait to see what else we are able to do at DIY with this funding!”
The re-grantees were announced in early February, which also include Acme Screening Room, Hunterdon Choral Alliance, Art Yard, and River Union Stage, among others.
Flemington DIY recently published their 2024 Annual Report highlighting achievements, accomplishments, new initiatives, and continued success, which can be found at flemingtondiy.org/annual-reports.
