“Community” is a verb.
Such a thing does not exist without active participation, and more often than none, some blood, sweat, and tears. Community is built and sustained by those willing to contribute toward a shared goal of improving where they live while supporting each other.
We believe we’ve built something special and unique in Flemington with our little community arts space. For those involved in keeping this place going, it’s a true labor of love and a privilege to do so.
This time last year, our future was uncertain. We had no physical space, and we were deep into the pandemic. We were struggling to decide our next move and if there was even a future for Flemington DIY.
We decided to persevere, raising over $4,000 in the span of a few days around Giving Tuesday. Those funds ultimately went to our new space’s rent, improvements, and other opening costs.
Since our reopening in May, we’ve rebuilt our volunteer force, received numerous grants, and hosted more than 100 events! This would not have been possible without the support and generosity of community members like you.
Can we count on you this year to help sustain and continue building the Flemington DIY community? Our goal this year is $6,000.
To those of you who are already monthly or yearly sustaining donors, we thank you again! You provide a valuable lifeline we depend on regularly to keep us going. These recurring gifts are vital to us – and we’d appreciate any additional one-time gifts you can make at this time.
And this year, we are offering some seriously awesome swag and limited merch to sweeten the deal and show our appreciation for your generosity.
Whether you give $5 or $500, please know it all makes a difference!
Today’s support is tomorrow’s program. There’s no us without you!
