Flemington DIY’s Board of Directors is seeking individuals who are excited about collaborative leadership and enhancing our volunteer collective to ensure a sustainable future. We are looking for individuals interested in community-based arts, who also enjoy giving back to their community. Sound like you or someone you know? Complete the interest form! We continually strive to build a diverse and inclusive board, to bring a mix of perspectives and a culture that integrates these views to our programming and other everyday decisions. Board members serve a 2-year term, with the possibility of re-election for 2 additional consecutive terms (6 consecutive years total).
Specifically, we are looking for folks with experience in any of the following fields:
- The Arts
- Nonprofits
- Board development
- Diversity, equity and inclusion best practices
- Event planning
- Finance
- Fund development
- General construction and/or handiwork
- HR/personnel Legal Marketing and outreach
- Organizational strategic planning
- Program evaluation, budget, and strategy
- Small business ownership
- Volunteer recruitment and management
Responsibilities of the Collective Board:
- Strategic and organizational planning for a sustainable future
- Fundraising and resource development
- Approving and monitoring the organization’s programs and services
- Financial management of the organization
- Follow the organization’s bylaws, policies, and board resolutions
