On Saturday, March 29th please join the Flemington QTs and community from 6-9PM for our
third annual Trans Day of Visibility celebration at Flemington DIY at 26 Stangl Road.
The QTs invite the community to join us in sharing our stories as transgender and nonbinary
individuals. A panel of trans and nonbinary community members will share their experiences and
speak on why actively and openly supporting LGBTQIA+ people across our nation is more
important now than ever.
“There’s a lot of fear mongering about transgender and nonbinary people in the US,” says QTs
Co-Founder Jae Hoff. “However, a lot of the folks who want to roll back protections for our
community have never sat down and talked to us about what we really want, our hopes, our
fears, our dreams. This is an opportunity for us to share just that.”
Attendees will also be able to contribute to a collective art project. Allies will be asked to write a
short letter of support for queer and transgender youth, which will be compiled into a zine. Free
copies of the zine will be printed and distributed at Flemington DIY after the event.
Thanks to DIY’s Print Club, members of the community will also be able to screenprint a Trans
Day of Visibility design onto a t-shirt or poster (please bring your own t-shirt). Please bring your
own t-shirt or other item to be printed on. Donations towards DIY’s Print Club are appreciated
for those that participate.
This event is open to all members of the community who wish to engage in an open conversation
based on mutual understanding and vulnerability.
